Family will receive friends following from 7:30 – 9:00. Parish Rosary will be recited at 7:00 P.M., Sunday, May 22, at Carlson-Becker Funeral Home in Hope. Phillip’s Catholic Church in Hope with Father Soosai Rathinam and Father Mark Wesely as Celebrants. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 A.M., Monday, at St. Sister Terri Weber and her husband Denny of Herington, Kansas Sister Brenda White of Salina, Kansas and many nieces, nephews and friends. Left to celebrate his life and many memories are his wife Janet, of the home Travis and his wife Barb of Hope, Kansas and Justin and wife JaRae of Fort Worth, Texas mother Joan Barrett of Salina, Kansas. Steve was preceded in death by his father Walter. To this union two children were born: Travis and Justin. ![]() On JanuSteve was united in marriage to Janet Ann Stroda. His life was centered around his faith, family, and working the ground, planting for harvest and raising the cattle. Steve graduated from Hope High School in 1971. Steve was the oldest of three children, including Terri and Brenda, born to Walter and Joan (Stammers) Barrett. Steve was born Novemin Herington, Kansas. Barrett, 63 departed this life on Wednesday in Wichita, Kansas.
